Do I have to use MakeHay's other tools?
No. Your account comes with MakeHay's free tools for quotes, scheduling and invoicing, and they sit there until you want them. A website customer can ignore them entirely: your leads arrive by email, and you log in only to edit the site or read requests.
What does it cost?
$197 a month, or $1,970 a year with two months free. That covers the build, hosting, HTTPS and the first year of a domain bought through MakeHay. From the second year a domain bought through MakeHay renews at the registrar's yearly price, billed to you before each renewal. There is no setup fee.
How long does it take?
The first version usually arrives within 1 to 2 business days of you finishing the questionnaire. Your site is live at a MakeHay address right away, and on your own domain as soon as it is connected.
Can I change the site myself?
Yes. After the first version the editor is yours: every page and every section, with a live phone preview as you type. Or ask for a change from inside the editor and a person at MakeHay makes it.
What happens if I cancel?
The site stays up for 14 days after the add-on ends, then goes offline. A domain you bought stays yours to renew. Your MakeHay account stays free.
I already have a domain. Can I use it?
Yes. Connect it with two DNS records and your email keeps working. The MakeHay address forwards to it for 30 days, then retires.
