Schedule a job
Put a job on the calendar: drag it from the unscheduled tray onto a day, or plan one or more visits with exact dates and times.
- Who can do this
- The account owner, and people with the Schedule visits permission
A job is worked in visits. A visit is one day on site, or a run of days in a row. A job can have as many visits as you need, even weeks apart.
Drag it onto a day
- Step 1: Open Calendar. Jobs waiting for dates are in the Unscheduled tray on the right. On a phone, tap Unscheduled jobs above the calendar. If you're on the list, the calendar switches to the month so you have days to drop on.
- Step 2: Drag a job card onto a day. On a phone, press and hold the card first, then drag.
That makes one visit for your whole work day. If you dropped it on the wrong day, click Undo on the message that appears.
Plan one or more visits
- Step 1: Click Schedule on the job's card in the tray, or Add visit in the Visits card on the job's page.
- Step 2: Pick the Date. For several days in a row, also pick the last day under Through.
- Step 3: Leave Work day ticked to use your normal hours, or untick it and set a start and end time.
- Step 4: Click Add another day for each separate visit.
- Step 5: Click Schedule.
Tip: Your normal hours are Workday starts and Workday ends in Settings › Company. A work day visit runs between them.
Good to know: To take the whole job off the calendar, click Unschedule on the job page or in a visit's quick view. Its visits are removed and it goes back to the tray. A repeating job, or a job with a visit already marked done, can't be unscheduled.
Tip: On a computer, you can drag a single visit from the calendar onto the tray to remove it. If it was the job's last visit, the job goes back to the tray.
