Add services and towns to your website

Give each service and each town you serve its own page on your site, with services brought in from your price book.

Who can do this
People with the Website permission

Every service you show gets a card and its own page. Every town is listed, and gets its own page once you write about working there. You can show up to 40 services and 25 towns.

Services

  1. Step 1: Go to Settings › Website and pick Services under Content.
  2. Step 2: Click Add a service, or Bring in items from the price book. Price book items come in switched off, so switch on the ones that are services.
  3. Step 3: Open a service and fill in One line for the card and The service’s page.
  4. Step 4: If you like, add a Photo, switch on Show a price and fill in Price as shown, and add questions customers ask about it.

Towns

  1. Step 1: Pick Service areas under Content.
  2. Step 2: If you work beyond the towns you list, fill in the miles under How far you travel at the top.
  3. Step 3: Click Add a town and fill in Town and State.
  4. Step 4: Write a few sentences in About working here. That gives the town its own page. Without it, the town reads Listed, no page of its own yet.
  5. Step 5: Under Each service in this town, a paragraph for a service makes a page such as "Sealcoating in Mesa".
  6. Step 6: Click Publish changes.

Tip: Write something that is only true of that town: the neighborhoods, the kind of jobs, what the weather does to the work. A page with a line or two rarely ranks.

Good to know: Changing a service's address after the site is public breaks links to the old one. Use a service's switch to hide it without deleting it.
