Set up your services and prices
Add the services you quote most, each with a unit and a default price, grouped into categories, so quote lines fill themselves in.
- Where
- Settings › Services
- Who can do this
- People with the Services & pricing permission
Your price list is what you pick from when you click Add item on a quote. The service's name, description, unit and price fill in the line, and you can still change the price on any quote.
- Step 1: Go to Settings › Services.
- Step 2: If you want groups, click Add category, give it a Name and click Add category. For example, make one category for each kind of work you do.
- Step 3: Click Add service.
- Step 4: Enter a Name and, if you like, a Description of what's included. The description shows under the line on your customer's quote.
- Step 5: Pick a Unit: Flat price, Each (per unit), Per linear foot or Per square foot.
- Step 6: Enter the Default price. For a per unit service, this is the price of one unit.
- Step 7: Choose a Category, or leave it Ungrouped, and click Add service.
To add a service straight into a category, click the plus button on that category's row. To change a service, click its name.
Tip: Categories and services each have a Weather rule. It decides which weather warnings show when the job is scheduled. See Plan around the weather.
Good to know: Archiving a service takes it out of the list in the quote builder. Quotes that already use it don't change. Archiving a category moves its services to Ungrouped, and you can still quote them.
