- Automations
- Who can do this
- Owners, and people with the Manage automations permission
Review requests send the customer a thank-you with a Leave us a review button once an invoice is paid, whether you record the payment yourself or the customer pays online.
- Step 1: Link your Stripe account under Settings › Payments, if you haven't yet. See Connect Stripe to take payments.
- Step 2: Open Automations from the main menu.
- Step 3: Make sure the switch next to Review requests is on. If Stripe isn't linked, turning it on opens a message that asks you to link it first, with a Go to Payments button.
- Step 4: Open the row and paste your Google review link into Review link. It must be a full link starting with https://.
- Step 5: Click Save.
Until both are in place, the row says what's missing: Link your Stripe account to start, or Add your review link to start.
When it sends
- Once per invoice, when the invoice is paid in full.
- To the invoice's Billing email. An invoice without one gets no review request.
- For recurring service billed after each visit, a customer is asked at most once every 90 days.
- Not to a customer who unsubscribed from your automated emails.
Tip: Click Send me a test in the row to see the email with the link you typed, even before you save it.
Good to know: Settings › Payments is for the account owner only, so the owner has to link Stripe.
