Revise a quote when the customer asks for changes

When a customer requests changes, edit the quote and send the new version on the same link.

When your customer clicks Request changes on their quote, its status becomes Changes requested and their message shows at the top of the quote. If the Changes requested notification is on in Settings › Notifications, you get an email too.

  1. Step 1: Open the quote and click Edit quote.
  2. Step 2: Make your changes. A note at the top reminds you that sending creates the next version.
  3. Step 3: Click Save & re-send. On a phone, tap Re-send in the bar at the bottom.
  4. Step 4: Check the address and click Send v2. The button names the new version number.

Your customer's link stays the same and now shows the new version. If they still had the old one open and try to approve it, they're asked to review the new version first.

Good to know: Until you send the new version, your customer can still approve the one they have.

Changing a quote they haven't commented on

A quote that's Sent or Viewed can't be edited. You can Re-send it as it is, or use Duplicate as new draft to make a copy you can change. See Void, copy or delete a quote.
