Extend a quote that has expired
After a quote's Valid until date, your customer can't approve it. Record their yes yourself, or send a fresh copy with a new date.

- Who can do this
- Recording an approval needs the Approve, void & delete quotes permission. Sending a new copy needs Create & edit quotes and Send quotes.
Every new quote gets a Valid until date. It starts from Quote valid for (days) in Settings › Company, and you can change it in Totals while you build the quote.
What happens when the date passes
Your customer's copy says the quote has expired and asks them to contact you for an updated quote. It shows your company phone number if you've added one. The buttons to approve or ask for changes are gone.
Your own copy doesn't change. The quote still shows Sent or Viewed, so if a customer says they can't approve, check the Valid until date on the quote's page.
Good to know: Clicking Re-send doesn't move the Valid until date, so the quote stays expired.
If they already said yes
If your customer agreed in person or by phone, open the quote and click Mark as approved. It still works after the date has passed, and the job is created as usual. See Get a quote approved and signed.
Send a fresh quote
- Step 1: Open the quote, click the three dots button and choose Duplicate as new draft.
- Step 2: The copy opens in the quote builder with its own quote number and a fresh Valid until date. Check the prices, and add any discount or deposit again.
- Step 3: Click Save & send.
- Step 4: If you like, void the old quote so only the new one is open. See Void, copy or delete a quote.
Tip: If the quote shows Changes requested, your customer's copy doesn't say it has expired, but they still can't approve it. You don't need a copy. Click Edit quote, set a new Valid until date and send the next version.
Tip: The Dashboard shows quotes expiring within 3 days, so you can follow up before the date passes.
