Dashboard and reports

Read your dashboard

What each part of the dashboard shows: this month's money, today's visits, what needs your attention, cash in and recent customer activity.

The dashboard is the first page you see when you sign in. Open it any time from Dashboard in the main menu.

Shortcuts at the top

Next to the greeting are buttons for the things you do most: New quote, New customer, New invoice and Calendar.

The number tiles

  • Collected this month: payments received since the 1st, compared with the same number of days before that.
  • Outstanding: what customers still owe on sent invoices, and how much of it is past due.
  • Quotes out: quotes waiting on the customer's answer, and what they're worth.
  • Scheduled visits: visits in the next 7 days, and how many of those days are flagged for weather.
  • Repeat work this month: only shows while you have a repeating service running. It shows what repeat work billed this month, and visits done and still to come.

Today

The Today card lists today's visits, then tomorrow's, then a row for the next 7 days. Tap a visit to open its job, or use the phone and directions buttons beside it. A colored dot under a day means the forecast may affect a visit. Tap a day to open the calendar on it.

The other cards

  • Needs your attention: late money, slipping work and customers waiting on you, most urgent first. See Work through the Needs your attention list.
  • Cash in, last 30 days: payments received by day, compared with the 30 days before. Click the title to open Reports.
  • Recent activity: the latest payments, quote approvals, change requests, quote and invoice views, requests, messages and signatures.
  • Your website: shows when your company has a website with MakeHay. Once it's live, it shows visits and leads from the last 30 days.

Good to know: You only see the parts your permissions cover. For example, the money tiles need access to invoices. If you open a page you don't have access to, you come back here with a note naming the area.

Tip: Until setup is done, the account owner can also see a Let's get you set up list here. See Set up your account.
