For concrete contractors
Concrete software that's actually free
You can reschedule a crew. You can't reschedule concrete that's already in the drum. Pour windows, cure temps, and a ready-mix truck on the clock — your software should respect all three, and cost $0 while it does.
Free forever. No monthly plan, no seat fees, no trial clock.
Sound familiar?
The parts of the job that have nothing to do with the work.
The truck's coming whether you're ready or not
Ready-mix gets ordered days ahead. When the forecast turns the night before a pour, you're choosing between eating the load, pouring into mud, or burning a favor with the dispatcher.
Bids scribbled on a form board
Flatwork by the square foot, walls by the yard, pump time, finish options — you figure it on site and retype it at the kitchen table. Two days later the customer's still waiting on the number.
Deposits, draws, and a messy final balance
Money comes in pieces — a deposit up front, maybe a draw, the balance after the forms come off. Track it on paper and somebody always ends up arguing about what's left.
What changes with MakeHay
Quote, schedule, get paid, come back.
Schedule around the weather, not despite it
Concrete gives you one shot. Rain within hours of the pour can wash out a broom finish, standard mixes want the air staying above roughly 40°F, and a hot windy day flash-dries the surface before the finishers can work it. MakeHay pulls the forecast for each job's address and flags pour days the sky won't cooperate with — before the ready-mix order, not after the truck's rolling.
- Rain warnings for the pour day and the hours after the finish
- Cold-weather flags when the mix needs blankets or a new date
- Per-site forecasts, so one wet address doesn't scrap a dry week
Quote it before you leave the site
Quote flatwork by the square foot and walls by the yard, with excavation, pump time, and finish options as line items. Email it from the tailgate; the customer taps approve, and you can order mix knowing the job is real.
Get paid without chasing
Take the deposit online the moment they approve, and invoice the balance when the forms come off. Card and ACH pay links, automatic reminders, and a clean running record of every check collected on site.
Keep every customer for the re-do
The driveway customer has a patio in them, and the GC who liked your flatwork has ten more slabs behind it. MakeHay keeps every customer and every site in one place, so the next job starts from history instead of from scratch.
The honest math
Compare the bill, not the brochure.

FAQ
Concrete questions, answered straight.
Is it really free?
Yes. Unlimited customers, quotes, scheduling, and invoices — free forever, not a trial. No monthly plan, no seat fees, and no credit card to start.
What's the catch?
No catch. The software costs us almost nothing per contractor to run, so it's free. Later we'll offer optional add-ons that carry real per-use costs, like texting and AI — the core stays free. If customers pay you online by card or ACH, those payments carry processing costs, as they would with any provider.
Can it flag a bad pour day before I order concrete?
Yes. Every scheduled job carries the National Weather Service forecast for its own address, with rain and cold flags right on the calendar — so you move the pour before the mix is ordered, not while the truck's spinning in the driveway.
Can I take my data with me if I leave?
It's yours. Ask and we'll export everything — customers, sites, quotes, invoices, payment history — and we delete what's left as laid out in our privacy policy.
Do I need a credit card to sign up?
No. Sign up with an email and send your first concrete quote the same day. No trial period, because there's nothing it expires into.
