Is it really free?
Yes. Unlimited customers, lots, quotes, scheduling, and invoices — free forever, not a trial. There's no monthly plan, no seat fees, and no credit card to start.
What's the catch?
There isn't one hiding in a tier. Software features cost us almost nothing to run, so they're free for every striping crew. Down the road we'll sell optional add-ons that cost real money per use — text messaging and AI — but the core tools stay free. If you take card or ACH payments online, those carry processing costs like they would with any provider.
Can it warn me before rain ruins a night stripe?
That's the flagship feature. When you schedule a job, MakeHay pulls the National Weather Service forecast for that lot's address and flags rain or cold on the calendar — so you move the closure before the cones go out, not after the paint washes away.
Can I take my data with me if I leave?
It's yours. Ask and we'll export everything — customers, lots, quotes, invoices, payment history — and we delete what's left as laid out in our privacy policy. Free never means hostage data.
